Question:

Do I need approval to construct a detached garage?

Answer:

No, provided it is of single storey construction, has an internal floor area of less than 30 square metres and is either situated more than one metre away from any boundary, or is constructed substantially of non-combustible materials.

 

 

Question:

Do I need approval to erect a carport?

Answer:

No, provided the floor area does not exceed 30 square metres and it is open on at least two sides.

 

Question: 

Do I need approval to erect a porch?

Answer:

No, provided the internal floor area does not exceed 30 square metres.

 

Question:

Do I need approval to erect a conservatory?

Answer:

No, provided the internal floor area does not exceed 30 square metres, at least 75 percent of the area of the roof and 50 percent of the area of the walls is constructed of transluscent material and any glazing complies with the requirements of Part N of Schedule 1 of the Building Regulations.

 

Question:

Do I need approval to erect a garden wall?

Answer:

No.
