What is the Economic Development Strategy?

The strategy will act as a framework for future action for Economic Development and key partners to develop the Borough's long-term sustainable economic growth opportunities.

 

How is the draft Economic Development Strategy being prepared?

The strategy is being written in conjunction with businesses and partner organisations. The draft document has been approved by the Council for public consultation and can be viewed below:

How can I make comments on the draft Economic Development Strategy?

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council now want to hear from businesses, residents and partner organisations in order to get feedback on the draft strategy.

 

The Council would specifically welcome your views on the following questions:

 

1. Is the vision for the Borough what we should be aiming for?

 

2. Do you agree with the assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints facing the Borough?

 

3. Are the strategic priorities identified the right ones?

 

4. Are there any additional actions that you would like to see the Council or partners deliver as part of the Economic Development Strategy?
