Welcome to the Borough Engineering section. This page gives information on a number of street services that we maintain. This includes flooding, maintenance of car parks, bus shelters, street furniture and street signs.
Flooding
We provide sandbags for use in emergency flooding events.
If your property experiences flooding during heavy rainfall please contact Customer Services |for sand bags.
Maintenance of car parks
We maintain and as necessary, develop the surfaces and furniture of the local car parks. This includes access roads, seating and signing, all of which need regular maintenance and replacement from time to time.

Bus shelters
We maintain all of the bus shelters in the Borough. We are carrying out a program of renewal for all of the bus shelters. The current shelters suffer vandalism through broken glass and are being replaced with steel ones.
Road Spillages
Leicestershire County Council are responsible for highway and road maintenance. In the event of a spillage on the road, please contact them on the free phone telephone number 0800 62 62 03. Additional information can be found on the Leicestershire County Council |website.
Street furniture
We have our own design for public seats and will over a period of time replace the old ones. Residents wishing to obtain a seat in memory of a loved one are advised to contact Customer Services| or telephone Leicester (0116) 288 8961.
Street Signs
We replace and maintain all street signs in the Borough.

Road signs are maintained by Leicestershire County Council. Please telephone Hinckley (0145) 528 3341 to report damaged road signs.
