Summary
We run a special collection service to collect bulky household waste items. Below is a list of the items that we collect and the standard charges for the collection.

Special collection service
The following items can be collected:-

doors that form part of an item of furniture
-
lawnmowers
-
vacuum cleaners
-
domestic furniture (including any wooden fitted furniture)
-
televisions
-
garden furniture
-
domestic carpets
-
stainless steel, plastic sinks
-
fridge freezers, coolers
-
washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers
-
microwaves
-
beds, 3 piece suites
-
bags of smaller household items such as clothes, crockery, pots and pans.
Please note - bags need to be strong enough so items do not split when being taken to the vehicle.
Standard charges as of April 2009:-

non electrical items £16.00p for the first one, followed by an additional £2.00p per item

electrical items £16.00p for the first one, followed by an additional £3.00p per item
Loose wood, bulky garden material, dismantled garden sheds, window frames without glass and wooden garage doors will require an assessment.
Other information:-

House improvement or building work related items such as building waste or replaced windows will not be collected.

Broken glass must be supplied in a box.

Bagged, boxed and tied waste will be classed as indvidual items.

Sheds must be dismantled and each panel classed as an item.

All items must be presented in a form that reasanobly facilitates loading and satisfies manual handling requirements failure to do so will result in a non-collection and payment refunded for those items not collected.
