Recycling Your Bottles and Jars

Summary

This page lists the types of glass bottles and jars that you can recycle and what to do if you want to participate in the kerbside glass recycling scheme.

 

 

We can collect

1. Wine bottles 
2. Drink bottles
3. Sauce bottles
4. Jam jars
5. Pickle jars and other similar glass bottles and jars.
   

We will not collect

1. Pyrex
2. Crockery
3. Drink glasses
4. Window glass and any other similar glass.

Please note that we are currently running a limited service and therefore it is not available to every household. To find out if you can participate, especially if your street is on the scheme or have any queries regarding your collection days, contact customer services.   | 

 

If you live in a flat or do not receive the kerbside service, please use the nearest recycling site| to recycle your glass bottles and jars.  If you are not close to a recycling site, please use one of the free standing bottle banks |located across the borough.
