Did we meet our 2008 statutory recycling target?
Thanks to every recycler in the borough, last year we met our statutory recycling target. We recycled 43 percent of the waste produced in the borough.
This year we aim to achieve 45 percent by March 2009.
All you have to do is participate in the local recycling services by placing the correct materials in your recycling bags |instead of your refuse sacks and recycling glass bottles at your nearest bottle bank. And, of course, use our free garden waste collection service.
Below is a breakdown of how much refuse, recycling and compostable material was collected last year
From kerbside collections:-

From recycling sites and bottle banks:-
