We are bringing our services closer to you!

 

Monday, 15 September 2008 is the opening date for our exciting new Customer Service Centre in Wigston Library

 

From that date information and advice on Council services will be available at Wigston Library, including:

• claiming Housing and Council Tax Benefit
• applying for Council accommodation
• making payments by cheque, debit and credit card
• getting a blue badge application form
• checking school term dates
• reporting a highways defect

This new facility, provided by a ground breaking partnership between OWBC (Oadby and Wigston Borough Council) and  Leicestershire County Council, means that our residents no longer have to visit the Council Offices to obtain advice and information. You can now combine accessing Council services with shopping in Wigston or visiting the Library for books, DVD's and Internet access.

The opening hours for the new Customer Service Centre will be:

Monday – Thursday	9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday	9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  
In addition to service within the above hours this exciting new concept also extends the hours that the following services are available to you:

• Collect green and brown recycling bags
• Leave cheque payments in a secure collection box
• Have free access to the OWBC Internet payment option

as these services are also available during library opening hours which are:

Monday	9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday	9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday	9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday	9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday	9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday	9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Customer Service staff look forward to seeing you at Wigston Library from 15 September and will be pleased to help with both local and County Council queries. 

Wigston Library is located in Bull Head Street, Wigston, just a short walk from the main Bell Street shopping area and with several car parks near by.
