Following the resignation of Councillor Doctor S.M. Rizvi, an election is to be held of a Councillor to represent Oadby Uplands Ward.

Voting at the Election

  • Providing you are included on the Register of Electors as a local government elector for Oadby Uplands Ward, you will be able to vote at this election. 
  • A poll card will be forwarded to you advising you of the location of your polling station appoximately three weeks before polling day. 
  • If you are registered to receive a postal vote, this should be forwarded to you around 22nd July 2008.
  • If you wish to apply for a postal vote or cancel or alter an existing postal vote, such applications must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Station Road, Wigston, by 5:00pm on Wednesday, 16th July 2008.
