Review of Polling Districts and Places
Summary
The Electoral Administration Act 2006 required the Council to undertake a review of its polling districts and polling stations by 31 December 2007 and then every four years after that.
At its meeting on 30 October 2007, the Council's Policy Committee approved the recommendations of the Returning Officer in respect of polling places and polling stations at the end of the consultation period.
In addition to members of the public, the following groups were specifically invited to submit commenst during the consulation period:
1. Members of the Council
2. Local political parties
3. Local civic societies
4. Local Disabled Organsiations
During the consultation period no objections to the recommendations of the Returning Officer were received and the Council adopted these recommendations without amendment.
Please note that the report of the Returning Officer accessed via the link below contains the adopted recommendations for each Ward and it’s Polling Districts. Maps that relate to each individual Polling District may be viewed separately via the links provided in the table below.
