Grant funding

Summary

 

This page contains details of the discretionary grants available to voluntary groups within the Borough. These should not be confused with Repair or Improvement Grants which relate to property and are available through the Environmental Health Section.

Community Grants Scheme

 

Discretionary grants of up to £500 are available to voluntary, not-for-profit groups within the Borough. These are subdivided into adult and youth grants each with separate criteria.Applications must be supported by financial information such as audited accounts. Use this link to access the Community Grants Leaflet|.

 

Also available via a separate link is the Application Form |which you may download and print off to make an application. An original signature is required for each application but one form covers both adult and youth grants.

 

Applications are determined by a free vote of Elected Members (Councillors) at meetings of the Policy Committee |and Youth Forum| which meet five times a year.

 

Community Access Fund

 

This smaller scheme is operated by the Community & Cultural Development Section of the Community Services Directorate.It is intended to assist voluntary groups with the cost of transport to events.Use this link to go to the Community Access Fund Leaflet| which incorporates an application form to download and print off. These applications are determined by a group of Officers who meet four times a year.
