The Purpose of the Statement of Licensing Policy
In its capacity as the Licensing Authority under the Act, the Council is required to produce and issue a Statement of Licensing Policy every three years.
The purpose of the Statement of Licensing Policy is to show how the Council as Licensing Authority will promote the four licensing objectives of the Act in carrying out its functions. The latest Policy came into effect on 7th January 2008, and will require reviewing before the end of 2010.
