Summary
A conservation area appraisal and development control guidance has been drawn up for the London Road and Saint Peters Conservation Area. The appraisal reassesses the character of the area and notes any changes which may have occurred since its designation such as new development, changes to specific buildings and street scapes. The Development Control Guidance outlines the issues to be considered before submitting planning applications for works to their houses. Adopted Conservation Area Appraisal and Development Control Guidance
The Conservation Area Appraisal and Development Control Guidance were subject to public consultation from Monday, 2 October 2006 to Monday, 13 November 2006. After considering representations received the decision was made on 23 February 2007 to adopt the Appraisal, Development Control Guidance and amend the Conservation Area boundaries taking effect from Monday, 12 March 2007.
Boundary amendments
The following properties have been included within the Conservation Area: 17 and 17a King Street and 2-8 (evens) Albion Street.
The following properties will be excluded from the Conservation Area: 30a and 30b Brooksby Drive and a small area of parking adjacent to 65a London Road.
