Summary

A conservation area appraisal and development control guidance has been drawn up for the South Wigston Conservation Area. The appraisal reassesses the character of the area and notes any changes which may have occurred since its designation such as new development, changes to specific buildings and street scapes. The Development Control Guidance outlines the issues to be considered before submitting planning applications for works to their houses. The documents were adopted in June 2006.
