Summary
The Sandhurst Street Planning Brief sets out the requirements that we are to meet through the development of the Sandhurst Street site. It also sets out information to assist a developer in preparing detailed proposals and the public in the consultation process.

Site description
The site is located in Oadby town centre and is accessed via Sandhurst Street and by pedestrians only from Chestnut Avenue and The Parade. The site consists of Sandhurst Street car park, Rawlings Passage, Oadby Library and a small area of green space to the south of the library.
Adopted Sandhurst Street Planning Brief
In November 2005 public consultation was undertaken to inform the preparation of the brief. A letter and questionnaire was circulated to local residents and businesses and a range of interest groups. An exhibition and design workshop was held on 24 November 2005.
A six week consultation took place on the Consultation Draft Sandhurst Street Planning Brief from Tuesday, 21 March 2006 to Tuesday, 2 May 2006. Following this consultation amendments were made to the document, set out in the Report of Consultation. The document was adopted on Tuesday, 6 June 2006.
