Supplementary Planning Document
A Conservation Area is defined as an ‘area of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which is desirable to preserve or enhance’.
Each of the Borough Council Conservation Areas have been reviewed and a character appraisal and development control guidance adopted which have informed the prodiction of the SPD. The Conservation Area Appraisals |must be read in conjunction with the SPD.
