We are undertaking a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) which will provide information on the opportunities that exist to meet housing need within the Borough. The information in the SHLAA will inform the Core Strategy and Allocations Development Plan Documents.

What is a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment?
The Primary role for the Assessment is to identify and assess sites with potential for housing, and establish whether they are likely to be developed.
Methodology for carrying out the assessment
A Methodology for carrying out the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment has been prepared in conjunction with ourselves and other Districts which fall within the Leicester and Leicestershire Housing Market Area.
The methodology was consulted upon from Friday, 23 November 2007 to Friday, 28 December 2007. The final Methodology was agreed and published in March 2008.

Submission of sites
We are inviting the submission of sites, should you wish to put forward sites for consideration, please download the form below. If you would like an electronic copy to complete please email forwardplans@oadby-wigston.gov.uk|.
For sites to be considered they must each be put forward on a separate SHLAA site proforma. All forms should be returned to the Borough Council by Friday, 4 April 2008 marked for the attention of the Forward Plans Team.
