Tours and talks

This page contains details of the tours and talks available which give information about Brocks Hill Visitor Centre and Country Park. There are also details about charges and catering for groups visiting the centre and a link to the booking form.

Tours

There are two separate tours available, each of which last approximately one hour and are suitable for groups of up to about 20 people.

Visitor Centre - on this tour the energy systems will be explained and interpreted.

Country Park - on this tour the habitats and wildlife in the park will be explained.

We do organise occasional tours as part of our events programme. If an individual or small group wishes to be put on this list for notification of dates, please telephone us.

Talk

A talk illustrated with slides can be delivered either at the visitor centre or at your usual meeting venue. The talk lasts 45 minutes to an hour. The talk details both the habitats and wildlife to be found in the park and the environmental features to be found in the building and surrounds.

Please note that slide talks cannot be booked together with a tour as the subject matter overlaps. For talks at venues other than the visitor centre you will need to provide a screen.

Charges

Tours - cost for a group of about 20 people is £44.00

Talks - cost for the talk is £44.00

Catering for meetings

The café within the visitor centre (operated by Thyme and Day Limited - telephone 07595 727990) offers light snacks and refreshments during normal opening hours. For group catering, bookings must be made in advance. Please indicate this requirement on the booking form and we will pass your details to the café staff who will then contact you to discuss catering.

Refreshments or buffet meals are only available for evening meetings if they are pre-booked.

Booking

Please telephone us to discuss available dates before completing and sending the booking form.
