Crime prevention

This page provides details about how crime helped be prevented by the council.

We work closely with local Police, the Fire Service, Leicestershire County Council and other partners to reduce crime and tackle a range of crime related issues.

Our team's specific contribution is to manage the Authority's Partnership in Safer Communities; a partnership which draws together all these agencies to tackle crime issues together. We help focus on tackling anti-social behaviour issues and works alongside organisations to tackle domestic violence, drugs and alcohol misuse, and other community safety issues. By accessing the Community Safety pages you will be able to see some of the projects we are working on to make local communities safer, as well as accessing points of contact and information on a wide range of crime and Community Safety services.
