Crime Reduction in Oadby and Wigston (Crow)

The Crime Reduction in Oadby and Wigston (CROW) scheme was established several years ago. It is an anti retail theft scheme with many businesses in the borough being members. It operates through a network of mobile radios which each shop has. This enables them to talk to one another with monitored by Wigston Police Station. In the event of a retail crime incident, the Police are deployed and arrests made.

Police photographs of convicted offenders are issued to the shops within the scheme on a regular basis and exclusion orders can be granted to bar offenders from member shops.
