Hedge laying for beginners at Brocks Hill Country Park
The centre is fully accessible but there may be uneven ground in the park.
An introductory day course into the traditional countryside craft of hedge laying. The day will include an indoor theory session with handouts, followed by a demonstration in the field and a practical opportunity. There will be a free second day on Sunday 9 November to practice the techniques you will have learnt.
Tools and protective equipment will be provided. This event costs £35.00 per person and booking is necessary.

Come along to Brocks Hill Country Park and learn how to lay a hedge in the traditional Midland style. A one day course for those wishing to learn the basics. The course is identical to the course being run on Saturday 8 November.
This day long event costs £35.00 per person and booking is advisable.

Felt making for beginners
The centre is fully accessible.
We welcome for the first time to Brocks Hill Anne Mitchard, an experienced teacher of art and crafts. This beginners course will take you step-by-step through the making of felt. You will leave the evening with your own handmade bracelet and brooch and the inspiration to fire your own creativity.
The cost for this course for adults is £12.50 per person and booking is advisable.

Butterfly Illustrations at Brocks Hill

Chris Bates is a skilled local artist who has been painting detailed watercolours with natural history as his theme for many years. He will be sharing his knowledge and approach to detailed butterfly painting. If you have your own watercolours, pencils and watercolour crayons please do bring them along, otherwise the required equipment will be provided on the day.
The event is most suitable for adults and costs £35.00 for the day's tuition. Booking is essential.
