Stone Fruit Tree Pruning for Adults at Brocks Hill Country Park
The day aims to provide an understanding of the theory behind creating a good pruning cut for stone fruit trees, as well as a chance to try out skills learnt. The course content includes: the benefits for the trees of pruning; reducing pest and disease risk through healthy cuts; individual species based techniques; and advice on your own pruning dilemmas. Handouts provided. Tools and protective equipment provided.
The course will be led by the Brocks Hill team and the cost for the day is £35.00 per person. Booking is advisable.

National Children's Day Magical Encounter with the Natural World.
Bring your children along to awake their senses to the exciting wild world that is the Country Park. Please wear appropriate clothing.

Bats of Brocks Hill Country Park
Join us to learn about the bats of Brocks Hill. Starting with a brief indoor talk and introduction including how to use a bat detector in the field, you will then have a chance to explore the Country Park. The walk will commence just after dusk (around 9 p.m). Please note that the time for ending is unsure as it will depend on the weather and how many bats are flying. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring a torch.
The evening will be led by the Leicestershire and Rutland Bat Group and will cost £5.00 per person. It is suitable for adults and children of 12 years and over. Booking is advisable.

Using natural resources create your own clay men, animals or monsters on trees. Make a clay stick man to take home.
