Guided Walk Training with Brocks Hill Country Park
This illustrated talk will put the role of the guided walk into context. It will provide information on how to be a good leader, provide a framework with which to plan and deliver a guided walk. Some top tips and ideas for creative additions, managing health and safety and making a walk fun and informative will be shared.
This event for adults costs £7.50 per person and booking is advisable.

Butterfly Illustrations at Brocks Hill Country Park
Chris Bates, a skilled local artist, has been painting detailed watercolours with natural history as his theme for many years. Today he will be sharing his knowledge and approach to detailed butterfly painting. If you have your own watercolours, pencils and watercolour crayons please do bring them along otherwise the required equipment will be provided on the day.
This day course for adults costs £35.00 per person and booking is advisable.

Small Woodland Management at Brocks Hill Country Park
The theory session will look at how to manage small woodlands to maximise benefits for wildlife, community access and income. The day will include risk assessments, access, management techniques and relevant legislation. Handouts provided. The afternoon will include a site walk at Brocks Hill looking at issues, opportunities and practical aspects of woodland management.
This day course will cost £35.00 per person and booking is advisable.

David Foulds has been carrying out our butterfly surveys and sending Brocks Hill data to the National Data Base for over 5 years. In that time he has had many exciting finds, seen interesting patterns develop in the data and taken some incredible pictures. Join him on a walk around the Country Park following much of his monitoring transect to experience the fascination of these amazing, delicate creatures.
