Willow Hurdle Weaving at Brocks Hill Country Park
An introductory day course into the traditional countryside craft of willow hurdle weaving. The day will include a demonstration in the field and then a full day practical opportunity. Hopefully within the day you should build a hurdle to take home. Tools and protective equipment provided on the day.
This day course costs £35.00 per person and is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. Booking is advisable.
The centre is fully accessible but there may be uneven ground in the park.

Farming through the Seasons
A photographic year on an award-winning Leicestershire mixed farm. Julia Hawley, an experienced speaker and keen conservationist, takes you into her world of wildlife and farmlife. Hall Farm at Brentingby, a commercial family farm, is home to a variety of wildlife including many rare species.
This event is organised by the Friends of Brocks Hill Country Park group and costs £3.50 per person (£2.50 for members). Booking is advisable.

Chris Leach from the British Plant Gall Society leads you on a fascinating trail around Brocks Hill, which is known for being a plant gall hotspot in Leicestershire, with answers to these questions and much more. Batik Art, Resist Printing at Brocks Hill Country Park and Centre
Have fun discovering how to draw with hot wax on cotton using a tjanting tool. Use found objects dipped in wax to create abstract images. Work will be with a one colour dye. You could use your piece of fabric to make a Morsbag. (see www.morsbags.com) The Morsbag Pod meets at Brocks Hill on most Thursdays and some Sundays throughout the year. The fabric used in this workshop will measure up to the Morsbag sizes. All materials provided.
This evening event for adults costs £20.00 per person and booking is advisable.
