Mothers Day Craft Gift - Willow Hurdle Weaving
It is Mothering Sunday weekend so why not give your mum a different present this year?
Join her onto this special day course of an introduction to the traditional countryside craft of willow hurdle weaving. The day will include a demonstration in the field and then a full day practical opportunity. The day finishes with a willow woven hurdle to take home to decorate the garden. Tools and protective equipment provided on the day. Special light refreshments provided.
Cost for the day is £35.00 per person and booking is essential. Children of 12 years and over are welcome to join the class.

This session will be lead by a local naturalist, Dr Anthony Fletcher.
With the leaves now gone from the trees, Dr Fletcher will lead an investigation into the lichens in Brocks Hill Country Park. Find out what these ’dual organisms’ are and how they add colour and texture to our countryside.

Paper Pictures at Brocks Hill Country Park and Centre
Following on from the success of the half day sessions, Danielle Vaughan, the local artist who specialises in creating incredible images from recycled paper is back at Brocks Hill to run a slightly longer day workshop. This gives participants the time to produce a more detailed picture of a bird. With more tearing and ripping of paper come and join in with this fun, liberating workshop!
The day will last from 10.00 am to 3.30 pm and costs £30.00 per person. Booking is essential.
