As our staff are not leading the activities, there is no need to book. Just turn up any day between 10 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. Costs will vary according to the craft but there will be something suitable for all pockets. Why not make a day of it and visit the cafe too?

Maritime Memories Machine at Brocks Hill
This summer the Maritime Memories Machine is touring the country, collecting stories of the sea from everyone it meets.
Days in a deck chair or dug in behind a windbreak, sand in sandwiches, pebbles in flip flops. In the storm, in the calm, in the pub, fishermen, sailors, migration journeys, day-trippers. Visit the Maritime Memories Machine to tell us what the sea means to you.
Activities on the tour will be overseen by the Maritime Memory Catchers; they are searching for sea themed memories, stories, moments to help fuel the van. Join in with some sea shanties, create a poem, investigate the handling collection or simply watch events unfold.
When it returns to its home at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, its cargo of stories will become part of the new Sea Things gallery, and your memories and stories will become part of a national museum collection.
