Youth Games
This page provides the results from the 2011 Youth Games, held at Loughborough University.

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council produced some outstanding results at the Youth Games finals. Over 200 participants, teachers, coaches and volunteers represented Oadby and Wigston at Loughborough University 42 participants with special needs competed in the Parallel Games on Friday, 8 July. Oadby and Wigston Borough Council finished first and second in the racket skills event; third in the invasion games and second in the sports hall athletics.
A total of 14 teams represented the borough in the main games on Sunday, 10 July. This event was aimed at sub-county participants aged 8 to 16 years.
Results from 10 July include:
• First in Girls Year 6 football
• First Fair Play trophy winners in gymnastics
• First Fair Play trophy winners in swimming.
• Second in gymnastics
• Second in table tennis
• Third in swimming
• Third in football (Year 7)
• Third in cricket
• Third in hockey (boys)
• Fourth in hockey (quick sticks)
• Fourth in badminton
Over 1,300 young people from all over Leicestershire took part in the finals this year in what is becoming one of the most prestigious youth sports events of the year.
