Salary: £31,371 - £33,799
This is a Permanent Full Time position
We have some opportunities within the Council to recruit experienced and motivated individuals to work as Environmental Health Officers in the Regulatory Services team on a permanent and temporary basis.
We are looking for generic Environmental Health Officers who can work in all areas of the profession. Although some specialisation is possible our small and friendly teams needs a new member who can operate across all areas of work including both food safety and environmental protection and housing.
There will be some specialisation required but you will need to cover all aspects of the work at busy times. If you have a current specialism but would like a more generic role we will help you achieve this with support and if necessary further specialist training
The successful applicants will be qualified Environmental Health Practitioners who meets the CPD requirement for membership. Experience in a wide range of environmental health disciplines is desirable and a willingness to work in all areas is essential.
The Borough is mostly urban in nature and has a range of food safety, environmental protection and private sector housing work which the post holder will contribute towards. There will also be complaints to investigate and involvement in animal licensing and control and an opportunity to become involved in special projects.
