Salary: £22,183 - £24,491
This is a Temporary Full Time position
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who will be responsible for increasing the physical activity levels of Oadby and Wigston residents and help to decrease health inequalities in the Borough, through the development, coordination and promotion of a range of physical activity opportunities and interventions.
The post requires an understanding of both the public health and physical activity agenda and the different methods of engaging individuals to change their behaviours to become more active. You will work in partnership with a range of organisations ensuring there is a diverse range of interventions and activities in place in order to break down barriers to participation and to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents.
You will be educated to degree level in a relevant field. You must also hold a current driving licence and be mobile across Oadby and Wigston. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check applies to this post.
This position is financed through the externally funded 2020/21 Commissioning Fund and is a fixed term contract until the end of June 2022. Although the post could be extended if external funding is confirmed.
