This is a Permanent Full Time position
You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer in England and Wales who has completed a training contract, pupillage (or has been exempted from this by the Law Society or Bar Council) or has qualified through the CILEx route.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of governance and decision making within a local authority organisation and an awareness of the need to be alert to political sensitivities.
You will be highly organised and used to working with minimum supervision and be able to provide advice and assistance on a broad range of legal matters connected with the delivery of any of the Council’s services. You will require sound judgement and analytical skills .
