Salary: Voluntary (travel & work related expenses paid)
This is a Temporary Full Time position
Oadby and Wigston Borough Council in Leicestershire is looking to recruit a Voluntary Undergraduate, currently studying for a degree, for a 10 to 12 month volunteer placement opportunity from September 2019.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to support a range of health, sport and leisure work areas at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, including events, consultation, marketing, monitoring/evaluation and identifying future funding opportunities, whilst gaining invaluable on-the-job training.
The position is based at the main Council Offices in Wigston and the successful candidates will be expected to work a 37.5 hour weeks, however this could be negotiated. The start date for the position is also negotiable.
Although this position is voluntary, expenses will be paid (travel and work related expenses). There will also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to access some CPD courses free of charge.
The position will require the candidate to be able to travel easily around the local area and potentially across the county, so although public transport could be relied upon, access to and use of a car would be preferable.
