Oadby and Wigston businesses could benefit from new regional initiative

A brand new Digital Growth Programme has been launched and is ready to help and support small businesses in Oadby and Wigston.

Over the past few months, The eBusiness Club have been busy planning the brand new ERDF funded Digital Growth Programme ready to launch in February 2017.

Since November the existing eBusiness team has grown from 6 to 15, with the recruitment of 3 Events and Engagement Officers, 4 Digital Business Advisors and a Grants and Finance Officer. You can find out more about who represents your local area here.

The Digital Growth Programme is here to support SME businesses based in Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and shapes up to be an exciting and engaging programme running through to June 2019. Over the lifespan of the programme we hope to host over 600 training workshops, seminars and conferences, all based around Digital Marketing and Information Technology. We will also work closely with businesses to offer advice and support to help grow businesses in our region and offer access to EU funding in the form of a grant to help you maximise the potential of your business even further through the use of technology and software based solutions. By offering these services we hope to boost the economy in the East Midlands, and create further jobs within the field.

Throughout February and March, the team will be hosting Digital Growth Programme Launch Events to help promote and introduce the programme to qualifying businesses. These informal events are a great opportunity to come along to a venue in your local area and hear all about the programme, the workshop subjects and funding opportunities, the eligibilty criteria and learn how to enrol onto the programme to be able to take advantage of all we have to offer.

It will also give you an opportunity to meet the representative in charge of your local area, who will be your main point of contact if you wish to participate in the programme and use the support available to your SME business. The events themselves are breakfast seminars, so you get to enjoy all of this over delicious breakfast.
