Results from the recent waste survey

The results of the waste survey that was conducted (February 16 - March 12) as part of our recent consultation on how our refuse and recycling service is valued and what it should look like in the future are now available.

The survey was available to all adult householders in the Borough, with submissions being received online, through our Letterbox magazine, plus through paper copies that were available from the Customer Service Centre on Bell Street and Brocks Hill Country Park.

There was an impressive 2,399 respondents in total, with nearly half leaving detailed comments on possible changes to a service that is vital to all residents.

Cllr John Boyce, Leader of Oadby and Wigston Borough Council said:

"After a very positive number of survey submissions - the Council has listened to the responses and we are now in the process of working hard to draw up a series of options on how waste collection could look alongside other frontline services in the near future.

"When this options analysis has been undertaken we will look to consult with residents again for further feedback in the next few months."
