Have your say on Police and Crime Commissioners tax increase

Policing Minister Nick Hurd announced in December 2017 that he was giving Police and Crime Commissioners authority to increase the amount of money paid towards policing by local tax-payers through their council tax bill by £1 a month (for those living in a Band D property).

In response a survey to find out what local people feel about this rise, which is so vital for community safety in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has been created. The closing date is noon 18 January 2018, which will enable responses to be taken into account to help prepare a paper to the Police & Crime Panel which will be submitted by 22 January 2018.
