Safe and welcoming shopping areas

We have been working hard to help businesses trade safely in Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston as Covid-19 restrictions continue to be lifted.

This webpage contains advice and information for traders and shoppers.

Shopping areas across the borough

We have had officers visiting towns the last two weeks to identify places with several shops and potential hotspots where queue management may be needed.

We have delivered letters and a leaflet with handy information for businesses on how to be COVID-19 Secure and protect staff and customers.

The borough council will also be laying stencil graphics where pavements are wide enough outside shops and businesses in towns to help manage queues.
