Businesses and Venues That Must Remain Closed to The Public

On 4 July 2020 regulations were introduced closing certain businesses and venues in Leicester. These regulations now only apply to the City of Leicester and the Borough of Oadby and Wigston.

To reduce social contact, the government has required by law that certain businesses and venues are closed to members of the public. The full list of business and venues that must remain closed are set out in the left-hand column of the table on the GOV UK website, with exceptions shown in the right-hand column.

For businesses or venues that are closed, staff may be present to make deliveries or provide services in response to orders such as those by telephone, online, or mail. Takeaway and delivery services may remain open and operational in line with guidance below.
