Leicester City Council - Food Parcel Calls

Leicester City Council are in receipt of a list of shielded persons and are proactively contacting them to offer assistance and asking if they require a food parcels.

There have been concerns that these calls are scams but we can confirm that these calls are genuine and stem from the National Food Supply Programme which ends today (31 July 2020). Leicester City Council are now undertaking the supply of food parcels.

This information is also documented in a letter sent by the NHS to shielded residents.
