Cllr John Boyce, speaks on BBC Radio Leicester

Listen to Leader of the Council, John Boyce as he is interviewed by Ady Dayman from BBC Radio Leicester.

Councillor Boyce talks about the current situation regarding COVID cases in the Borough of Oadby and Wigston, testing sites, vaccination centres, our Community Hub and support being offered to businesses.

Councillor Boyce said ‘we know that the NHS is under immense pressure and strain and that means we must do more to protect our vital health service and save lives by following guidelines of stay home to save the NHS and save lives.

I know that this means that we will continue to make sacrifices in the coming weeks in this lockdown. I appreciate that it be difficult for many people, but for the sake of everyone including yourselves, your family and your friends, please follow the rules and stay at home.

What I am most proud of is how our community has responded and continues to respond to this pandemic. The community has really rallied and stepped up to the plate for that I am most grateful”.
