Open Letter from Leader of The Council - COVID19 Response

Published: Friday, 22 January 2021

Open letter from Leader of The Council, Councillor John Boyce.

"It has been nearly 12 months since the COVID19 pandemic arrived in the UK. As Leader of Oadby and Wigston Borough Council I have communicated to residents and businesses on a regular basis to keep you up to date on the Council’s response and activity to the COVID19 pandemic and also how we have maintained our services as business as usual.

For all of us it has been a fast paced environment. As a local authority we have had to be agile, tenacious and strong in our performance.

I want to share with you some of the highlights of the work that has been undertaken by the Council since March last year. This is both COVID19 related and ‘business as usual’ and this open letter separates those two areas for ease of reference."
