Armed Forces Day provides us with the opportunity to show our support for those who serve in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and to those who have served in previous generations, as well as to take the time to show our gratitude for the sacrifices that they have made.

It is also a chance to show our appreciation to the Armed Forces’ reservists and cadets, as well as to the families who support them. Their contributions are of paramount importance to the operations and successes of our forces and we should ensure that they are also acknowledged.

It is important that we take this opportunity to celebrate the Armed Forces community and to recognise the work they have done and continue to do to protect the UK at home and overseas, and to show our troops that we are thinking of them.
