Congratulations to our Christmas Shop Front Competition winners!

Age UK in Wigston has been revealed as the winner of our Christmas Shop Front Competition with their incredible knitted display!

Our Mayor, Councillor Rosemarie Adams, visited the shop (top picture) to present the team with their winner's trophies.

Councillor Adams also presented trophies to our runners up, Belle Âme in South Wigston (bottom left) and Charlie & Alf's in Oadby (bottom right).

Councillor Adams said "I would like to congratulate Age UK, as well as Belle Âme and Charlie & Alf's!

"The standard of our 22 entries this year was excellent, and this was a difficult decision for the judging panel to make, but these displays were exceptionally creative and really stood out as the result of a lot of hard work.

"Thank you to all of our local businesses who entered for their fantastic efforts, and for helping to bring some festive cheer to our borough.

"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
