Vote for your borough councillors on 4 May - what you need to know!

On Thursday 4 May 2023, you will have the opportunity to vote in our borough council elections.

Polling stations will be open 7am to 10pm.

Here's what you need to know!

Voter identification

You must show an accepted form of photo ID to vote at the polling station. No ID? Apply for free voter ID by 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023

Register to vote

To vote in the May election, you will need to register to vote by Monday 17 April

Voting by post

The deadline to apply for a postal vote at this election is 5pm on Tuesday 18 April

Voting by proxy

The deadline to apply for a proxy vote at this election is 5pm on Tuesday 25 April

Poll cards

Poll cards are now being sent to registered voters. If you haven't received yours by Friday 7 April, this might mean that you aren't registered to vote
