Our Annual Canvass is now underway!
If you have received an e-mail or text message that looks like the below asking you to check who is eligible to be registered to vote at your address, please be assured that this is a legitimate communication from the council.
Please follow the instructions and respond to these messages as soon as you can!
The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) must carry out an annual canvass of all households each year, to ensure that the Electoral Register is complete and accurate.
The law requires that every household must be contacted by the ERO to request information about who is resident at the address to ensure that all eligible electors are registered to vote.
