The Oadby and Wigston Hindu Community came together to celebrate the vibrant and joyous festival of Navratri, marking a beautiful display of multiculturalism within the borough. This cherished occasion, significant to Sanatan Dharmics (Hindus) worldwide, was embraced wholeheartedly by the community, showcasing the essence of unity in diversity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Neil O'Brien, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Primary Care and Public Health) and MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, for his steadfast support of the faith groups in the borough. Anne Court, Chief Executive for Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, demonstrated her commitment by actively participating in various tasks during the event, underscoring the spirit of togetherness.
Councillor Samia Haq, Leader of Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, and Councillors Kamal Ghattoraya and Naveed Alam, along with PCSO Harks Sanghera, added to the festivities, joining hands with the community in celebration.
