AccessAble accessibility guides for Oadby & Wigston
Published: Wednesday, 7 August 2024
We have been working with AccessAble to publish 44 online accessibility guides for places such as shops, community buildings and restaurants in Oadby & Wigston.
AccessAble’s surveyors assessed the participating venues in-person to create a Detailed Access Guide for each location, which covers how or if a venue caters for a range of accessibility needs.
The guides contain information with photos on topics including wheelchair and mobility scooter access, if information is available in large print or Braille, if there is a hearing assistance system and what toilet facilities are available.
The level of detail provided allows those with accessibility requirements to confidently plan their trips and know in advance if their needs will be met.
This project has been funded by the UK Government through the United Kingdom Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
