Parking Charges

This page contains information about parking charges and car park locations.

Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston are served by a range of car parks owned by the local authority. These are known as off street car parks. These car parks are patrolled by uniformed Civil Enforcement Officers who enforce the car park regulations.

Parking Charges

The following regulations apply from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday (There are no parking restrictions on Sundays or Public Holidays):

  • Parking in all council owned town centre car parks is free for up to 3 hours
  • Over 3 hour parking is available at a charge of £3.00 for up to 12 hours in any one day at Sandhurst Street car park in Oadby, and Paddock Street and Aylestone Lane car parks in Wigston.
  • Green lined parking bays (East Street car park, Oadby) are free for up to 20 minutes

Car Parks in South Wigston

Parking in the following car parks is free for up to 12 hours. Parking regulations apply from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday (There are no parking restrictions on Sundays or Public Holidays):

  • Countesthorpe Road
  • Kirkdale Road (please note repairs are being carried out in this car park over the next few weeks; the Saffron Road (left) side of Kirkdale Road Car Park will be closed for up to one week from Monday 25th February 2019 and the right hand side of the car park (accessed from Kirkdale Road) will be closed for up to one week from Monday 4th March 2019. Users are asked to find alternative parking during this time.)
  • Station Street
