Chief Executive vacancy

A welcome from the Leader of Oadby & Wigston Borough Council, Cllr John Boyce:

"Oadby and Wigston is a place where people aspire to live and work. The Borough Council aspires to play a small enabling role in people’s desires and wellbeing.

The Council is looking to recruit a new Chief Executive following the retirement of the previous incumbent. The person we are looking for will provide continuity and stability. They will build on a successful IIP assessment at Generation 6. They will continue to provide sustainable long term services. They will take positive opportunities in developing the Council and its services whilst ensuring sustainability.

The Council faces the same challenges as the rest of the sector with falling funding and rising costs, the new Chief Executive will be expected to bring new and innovative ideas to resolve these issues. They will be expected to be able to do this in an open and publicly consultative manner.

The Council plays a full part in developing combined opportunities within the County and the new Chief Executive will be expected to continue this work

Salary: £89,414 - £98,406 (Permanent Full Time position)
