Localised Lockdown Has Now Been Lifted in the Borough
Following on from the Government's recent change in its approach announced on the evening of 31st July.
We are pleased that the Borough of Oadby & Wigston is now out of lockdown. Restrictions in Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston will be lifted from mid-night on Saturday, 1st August and will return to national social distancing guidelines.
National Social Distancing Guidance
Everyone in the Borough must follow the National Social Distancing Guidance.
We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:
- stay at home as much as possible;
- work from home if you can;
- limit contact with other people;
- keep your distance from people not in your household (2 metres apart where possible); and
- wash your hands regularly.
Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.
Find out what you can and can't do via the Coronavirus Outbreak FAQ's.
