This page provides the most up to date versions of the Local Infrastructure Plan and the Green Infrastructure Plan. These documents were first written in 2009 and were submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in October 2009 as part of the evidence base to support the content of the now adopted Oadby and Wigston Core Strategy 2010.
Infrastructure planning is proving to be a really important consideration nationally, regionally and locally. Through the Local Infrastructure Partnership, the Council has worked hard to establish and maintain strong relationships with all service providers to fully understand what infrastructure requirements they will have to cope with the levels of growth expected over the plan period up to 2026, and beyond if known.
The Local Infrastructure Plan and the Green Infrastructure Plan help to update applicants or developers on infrastructure projects that planning obligations to mitigate the impact of development may be sought via a legal agreement.
Local Infrastructure Plan March 2012
The Local Infrastructure Plan establishes additional infrastructure needs in the Borough of Oadby and Wigston up until 2026.
Green Infrastructure Plan March 2012
The Green Infrastructure Plan identifies existing areas that require improvements and additional items of green infrastructure that the Council deem to be important for the delivery of planned growth up to 2026 and beyond.
