In line with the 'local lockdown' restrictions for Leicestershire, there is no fixed date for the reopening of the Night Time Economy (NTE) in the Borough at this time.
In preperation for the eventual reopening of the NTE, the Council has developed an NTE Recovery Plan for the Borough’s town centres, in conjunction with the Police and other partner agencies. As part of the Recovery Plan there is a requirement to gather certain information from licensed premises / businesses that will be operating between the hours of 6pm and 6am.
In order to ensure a safe and smooth reopening of the NTE, the Council and its partners ask that the information requested on the NTE Recovery Form is provided as soon as possible, but by no later than, midday on Friday, 17 July 2020. Copies of your Risk Assessments detailing Social Distancing and Fire Safety are also required to be submitted alongside the Recovery Form.
To aid you in developing a Covid-19 related risk assessment an example document is provided at the foot of this page.
Various Government guidance documents published on 24 June 2020 have been linked to below in order to help you prepare for reopening your business, and to undertake suitable risk assessments where required. These will be of particular use to the following NTE business types;
- Pubs / Clubs (Including snooker halls and social clubs)
Additional questions should be directed to either the Council's Licensing Team or Environmental Health Team, where officers are able to assist ahead of the NTE reopening.
Most businesses that are required to provide information will have been contacted directly by the Council. However if you believe your business meets the NTE criteria, please also complete the Recovery Form.
Completed forms, and supporting documents, should be submitted electronically to email@example.com.
