Off-Street Parking Places Order (2021)
The Council is proposing a new Off-Street Parking Places Order (2021) to replace the existing 2015 Order.
A three-week statutory consultation on the details of the Order is being undertaken from 1 October 2021.
The statutory consultation is concerned with the details of the proposed Order itself (i.e. how our car parks are regulated and what the rules are for each car park) as opposed to the general strategic decision regarding the introduction of car parking charges on which the public has already been consulted this year.
For clarity, the overall decision to introduce car parking charges is not being re-considered and that is not the purpose of this statutory consultation on the details of the proposed Order.
The following documents may be examined:

Objections and Other Representations

If you wish to make any objections or other representations in respect of the details of the proposed Order, you should do so in writing specifying the grounds on which such objections or representations are made no later than 24 October 2021 to the Head of Law & Democracy, Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, Council Offices, Station Road, Wigston, Leicestershire, LE18 2DR or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Although you may receive a car parking fine within the borough, it is distributed by the Leicestershire County Council (LCC) Notice Processing Centre.
If you wish to dispute your fine or pay by an alternative method, you should go to the Leicestershire County Council webpage for car parking fines and follow the instructions.
